Poon hill trek soft adventure trekking is appropriate for any trekkers who is looking for easy walking. The maximum height of this trek is 3210m on poon hill top. As it is easy trek destination of Nepal, you don’t need any It is not necessary any previous trekking or mountaineering experience and also it is not necessary that you must be young and energetic to do this trekking. If you are healthy and can walk 5 to 6 hours daily, you can easily do this trekking. However it would be more good to do daily jugging or walking exercise is useful before you depart from your country. Poon Hill Trek detail itinerary

Our trek to Poon hill is a classical trek with 6 days itinerary compared to most walks in this region. The particular route is designed for globe trotters who wish to hike in a more relaxed manner than take a look this itinerary. However for travelers who wish to do Poonhill quickly but are walking with limited time wise than ask us for tailor made itinerary.

Day 01: Arrived at Kathmandu valley

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, Tribhuwan International Airport, we will receive you with private vehicle and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu within B/B plan. Our representative will give you information about further programs.

Day 02: Drive to Nayapool (8 hours). And trek to Birethanti, 45 minute.

Drive to Nayapool by express comfortable Bus. As we arrive in Nayapool Bazzar, we begin our thrilling Annapurna trek to Birethanti. The route winds through lush green forest & finally culminates at Birethanti after walking for one hour. In Birethanti, there are well-stocked shops, hotels, cafes, a police check post, a bakery and a bank, a nice little village town to have fun. This is our first over night on the mountains.

Day 03: Trek to Ghorepani village (2865m /9,369 ft), 5:30 Hours

We conducts our journey to Tikhedhunga Via Birethanti (1065m.), it is easy trek passing through several small villages and settlements. After Tikhedunga, we ascend steeply for the first 2 hours and then ascend gently passing through Ulleri (2070m.) and Banthanti. During the journey, you will see good view of Machhapuchhare known as mount Fish Tail (6997m.), mount Hiunchuli (6441m.) and as well as Annapurna (7219m) south. Now, our trail is quite easier passing through Rhododendron and shadowy trees and ascends gently up to the final camp at Ghorepani village. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 04: Hike to Poon Hill (3220m/10,530 ft.), Trek to Tadapani hill (2650m/8,666 ft), 7 hours

Today very early in the morning, we hike together to Poon Hill (3232m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other numerous snow capped mountains in the morning then Hike down to Ghorepani. After breakfast we trek to Ghandruk village. During the journey, we trek through Rhododendron forest, the beautiful flower makes the jungle colorful in spring when they bloom. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek to Nayapool. Drive to Pokhara, 6 hours

From Ghandruk, we walk downhill trough the scenic route with views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Fishtail and Gangapurna Mountains. We will cross the forest of blooming rhododendron and reach Birethanti from where we will take the downhill walk and follow Modi Khola till we reach Nayapul from where we take a private car or Taxi to get Fewa lake side in 1 hour 30 minutes.

Day 06: Drive to Kathmandu city

Morning we’ll drive back through the scenic countryside and during the route will stop for breakfast & lunch. It takes 7 hours back to Kathmandu. On arrival at Kathmandu guide will transfer to the hotel and rest of the day relax or explore the surrounding areas and overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Final departure day

Answer: Yes sure !! If you provide us your flights details then you should do request then our representative will come to pick up you on Kathmandu international airport.

Question: Do I need experience to do poon hill trek?

Answer: Actually for this kind of trekking is suitable for keen trekkers/walkers who are able to walk around 4 or 5 hours in a day, with a light weight day pack. For this trekking if you have about little experience would be better.

Question: What kind of accommodation can I expect on poon hill trekking?

Answer: We provide you tourist standard accommodation in Kathmandu and during the trekking routes. the rooms along the routes are clean with cozy bed with nice mattress and blankets. However we recommend you to take your own sleeping bags if you have one with you otherwise, you may rent it while you are in Kathmandu.

Question: What kind of food can I expect in this trek?

Answer: All the guest houses/lodges in annapurna trekking, they have attached restaurant and they cook a delicious range of mostly vegetarian such as Pasta, tuna bakes, noodles, potatoes, eggs, dhal bhat, bread, soups, fresh vegetables (variety depends on the season)
The dinner and breakfast are provided in the same lodge you spend the night every day and Lunch will be provided on the way to next place where you are going.

Question: What opportunities will I have for shower along poon hill trekking?

Answer: Tea house trekking all the lodges they have shower which you can get it somewhere paying and somewhere without paying however if you are in camping trekking – we provide you hot water bucket then you will take bucket shower.

Question: How do I get drinking water on poon hill short Trekking?

Answer: During the trekking route there are all places hotel and shops where you can able to buy mineral water and you can buy it for drinking but however we advise against buying mineral water in plastic bottles, as currently there are no provisions for disposing of these. Instead, we provide you boiled water or bringing chlorine tablets to purify the normal water as the normal water is available in camp site/along the way.

Question: Can I charge my digital camera or other batteries on my trip?

Answer: During the lodge trekking there will be more chances to charge the battery. We recommend to you bring extra pair for in case. Remember to bring your adapters! An extra battery will be recommended.

Question: Is there any communication facilities on poon hill lodge trekking?

Answer: In this trekking route you can get telephone services as well as internet services as well.

Question: Can I use credit cards in Trekking?

Answer: No! So, for the trekking routes you need to have cash Nepali rupees because credit cards works only in the bigger city areas.

Question: When should I book my trip and what is the payments terms?

Answer: Because our trips book up months in advance, we recommend booking early to avoid any kind of mis understanding. We will of course make every effort to accommodate last minute bookings.
And regarding the deposit, we prefer 20 % advance deposit of total price of the trip in order to conform your reservation before you arrive in Nepal. And rest of the payment can be made after your arrival in Nepal.

Question: Who will carry my luggage on poon hill express trekking?

Answer: We provide porters to transfer your luggage. As we are a responsible trekking tour operator agency, each of our porter carry maximum 25 kilo of your backpack which means 2 guest (12.5 kg luggage of each guest) : 1 porter basis.

Question: How much distance do I walk each day?

Answer: When walking in the mountains, the distance you cover each day can vary greatly due to gradient, terrain and altitude. As such it is very hard to give specific distances on each day, however you have to be prepared to walk roughly about 5 hours each day.

Question: Do I need walking polls ?

Answer: Walking pools are recommended but not compulsory.

Question: Is poon hill and ghorepani trek same ? What about poonhill trekking

Answer: Yes ! Of course. Ghorepani trekking is also recognized as a poon hill trekking so do not confuse.

Question: How much additional money do I need per day?

Answer: You can allocate US$ 08 – 10 for a lunch / dinner in Kathmandu and it depends on your spending habits. US$ 7 to 10 US$ each day will be enough to buy bottles of water, chocolates, tea coffee and some drinks while you are on trek.
