Dolpo trekking in Nepal.
Dolpo is located in a remote and isolated corner in the western part of Nepal was closed to trekkers until 1989. Lower Dolpo is permitted with low permit fee but for the upper Dolpo you have to pay US$ 50 per day for trekking permit. Lodges and guest houses are not available and you must arrange all camping accommodation via registered trekking company “Gokyo Treks and expedition Pvt Ltd”. Dolpa is lying under the shadow of Himalaya with mind-boggling natural elegance and cultural heritage. People of Dolpo are quiet similar to Tibetan faces but they are truly Nepali people and follow Bon religion and their language is closer to Tibetan. The most charming Shey-Phoksundo Lake is main attraction of this region and Num-la and Baga-la pass are another challenging attraction of this trek routes.
Upper Dolpo has been referred to as the last enclave of pure Tibetan culture with the landscape and Buddhist religion of this region quiet similar to Tibet. This region has a endless and rocky landscape inhabited by a solid, enterprising folk who live in some of the highest villages in the world. Dolpo trek offers an endless variety of mystical landscapes, Buddhist cultures and great people. Not only this but also it is a best place to find Snow Leopard wild animals in this area.

Very Cold and snowy but skies are generally clear. Because of cold and icy there are almost no visitors in winter season, cold at night, fresh and little beautiful sceneary.

Monsoon season in Nepal
Even monsoon season is better to trek in this region as it is located in trans Himalayan region of Nepal, so its dry always and you can trek nicely because you will have a splendid view of Himalayas with grassy landscapes.
Monsoon is over around middle of September, but some drops of rains still possible but still trek is best.
