Arrival in Kathmandu valley
Our representative or the owner of Gokyo Treks & Expedition , Ammar Raj Guni pick you up in kathmandu international airport (TIA) then transfer to the hotel. Check in to the Hotel, refreshment and if you have enough time permits than short hike to Swayambhunath Stupa (known as Monkey Temple) or an option trip to Kathmandu Durbar Square (ancient kings palaces). Return to hotel. At evening enjoy the welcome dinner sitting together with us.
Mount Everest experience mountain flight then Kathamndu valley sightseeing (World heritage sites listed by UNESCO)
Today early in the morning you will do mountain flight to explore the tallest mountains of Himalaya, Nepal. After one hour scenic mountain flight, we take you to the Pashupati nath temple (Hindu’s most holy temple) on your return where you can see how Hindu’s cremate. Around Pashupatinath temple, you will have your breakfast.
After an hours of sightseeing around Pashupatinath temple, we take you to the Boudhnath stupa, the tallest stupa in the world. Then we drive further to Kathmandu Durbar square.
The Durbar Square area is actually made up of two sub areas. The outer complex is renowned for numerous interesting temples such as Kumari Ghar, Kasthmandap, Shiva-Parvati Temple, Jagannath Temple, Big-bell etc., while the inner complex comprises the old palace area, Hanuman-dhoka and its courtyards such as Nasal Chowk, Mul Chowk, Sundari Chowk, Lohan Chowk, Mohan Chowk, Basantapur Durbar and others. There are many temples in the inner complex also, most notable being the Taleju Temple dedicated to the female royal deity.
Nagarkot Sunrise Trips - Changu Narayan Temple and Bhaktapur Durbar Square sightseeing
Early morning we drive to Nagarkot to see Sunrise over the Himalaya, as it is very famous to explore the tallest mountains sitting on the top of hill station. Nagarkot lies at an altitude of 2211m and is located 30 km north east of Kathmandu. (approx. 1:30 hour drive). If weather is good, one can see great views of Himalayas including Annapurna, Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Gauri Shanker and Ganesh Himal. You might also experience the tallest mountain Mount Everest more than a dot and several other tallest mountains from here.
After sunrise, we will have breakfast around there and then around 2 hours easy hiking to get Changu Narayan Temple, the oldest pagoda style Hindu temple in Nepal. After visiting this UNESCO World Heritage Site and having our lunch on Changu Narayan Temple, we drive down to Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square is a conglomeration of pagoda and shikhara – style temples grouped around a fifty-five-window palace of brick and wood. The square is one of the most charming valley as it highlights the ancient of the kings perched on top of stone monoliths, the guardian deities looking out from their sanctuaries, the wood carvings in very place – struts, lintels, tympanums, gateways and windows – all seem to form a well orchestrated symphony. Finally we take drive back to Kathmandu to end our fascinating day hiking trips.
Kathmandu- Kirtipur - Dakshinkali Tours
Today we visit Kirtipur which is located at the hilltop. This city is said to be established in the 12th century, the temple of Bagh Bhairava, Uma Meheswor, Chiancho Stupa are also located in the area. Dakshinkali is another highlight of this tour where we visit Dakshinkali temple - Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu Goddess kali - the Goddess of power where various religious ceremonies held almost on daily basis. Basically, in Dashain festival people sacrifice many animals in the name of Goddess Kali. Evening drive back to hotel.
