The stunning Annapurna region is the best area of Nepal for introductory trekking. The trails are good, the walking is relaxed and the spectacular 8000-metre mountains are breathtaking! Our trek takes us along river valleys, up stone staircases, through rice paddies and rhododendron forests. At Deurali we take an early-morning excursion to view the sunrise over one of the most magnificent panoramas in the country. After our trek, we relax in the charming lakeside town of Pokhara, before heading to Chitwan National Park for a safari adventure! We'll travel in a dugout canoe down the Rapti River and take an elephant-back safari, always keeping a lookout for the One Horned Rhinoceros, the Marsh Mugger crocodile, leopards, sloth bears, monkeys and the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger. |
