Island Peak (6189m) Climbing in Nepal !!

This is an excellent opportunity to achieve a Island Peak Summit (6189m) together with an exhilarating trek to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar located on top of Chhukung Glacier between Ama Dablam and Lhotse. Island Peak has been attracting over 300 groups each year to attempt its summit. The main reason of its popularity is its technically straightforward ridge, which attracts a lot of novice climbers without having any knowledge of snow and ice climbing. A physically fit & acclimatized person is well qualified to make an ascent over this Peak. Although the climb is technically straightforward it is quite demanding and does require the use of an ice axe and crampon. The most difficult section is a mixed rock and ice wall at a slope of around 45 degrees leading to the narrow summit ridge. The magnificent views from the summit, however, are certainly a fitting reward for your efforts.

A short orientation and demonstration on Ice climbing performed by our experienced / professional Sherpa Guide at the Base Camp is enough for you to head off for a summit bid. The climb being combined with a trek to Everest Base Camp you will have an advantage of experiencing the major highlights of the Everest area including Kala Pattar, Everest B.C., Namche villages and Monasteries along with a wonderful experience of a Himalaya climb and its fantastic views. Island peak climbing trip can be done during March to May and September to December.
