Nepal is known as home of tallest mountains on earth, a sandwich between two large countries China in North and India in 3 other direction. Most places of Nepal has open boarder. So to control the political activities and bio diversity, Nepal government protected those places which are restricted area at the formal time. Some of the remote areas of Nepal were restricted for foreign visitors until 1991. After multiparty democracy in Nepal, rule has been changed together with new democratic constitution regulation and opened for visiting the most inaccessible and firmly controlled area. The regulation designed primarily to protect the environment and cultural of the remote regions and provide the security and safely for both foreign trekkers.

Trek to Restricted area must be organized through fully authorized – Government registered company. It has to be fully equipped with tent, all Support staffs, cooks, etc. The trekking agency arranges the trekking permit through a series of applications and guarantees letters. Trekkers cannot trek alone in those areas.  You should be 2 people as minimum in a group. Each group has accompanied with a government environmental officer. The environmental officer has to handle all the formalities with the police and government offices in route.
