Khair Trekking - Annapurna South Base camp Trekking !!

Annapurna south Base camp - Khair Lake is one of of the most famous trekking trail lies Annapurna region. This trek goes through the Tikhedungha - Ghorepani - Punhill - Swata - Khair Lake - Tadapani - Ghandruk then finally back to Birethanti where we complete the circuit. Punhill is one of the best wilderness trekking route, which takes you into the heart of the Annapurna range with the magnificent, stunning and incomparable views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges including Mt.Manaslu. This Khair lake Treks follows the quite trails away from the popular routes passing through the traditional villages, lust forest, you will enjoy the views of the annapurna massif from Khobra Hill, sacred Khair Lake (4500 m) offers Khun khane festival (blood drinking) which is really popular, among the snow capped mountains besides all the Himalayan ranges as well as the best sunrise and sunset views on 180 deg angle.  

Suggested itinerary: 20 Days

Day 01: Receive you in kathamndu international airport. Then transfer to hotel by private car. If you have time, just couple of hrs time sightseeing around downtown Thamal.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathamndu valley such as Swayambhunath stupa, Kopan Gomba, Boudhanath stupa, Kathamndu royal palace (Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square) . At evening, transfer back to hotel.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (950m) - 6 to 7 hours by tourist bus. Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Nayapull (1010m) then trek to Tikhedunga (1570meters) - 3 hours. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840m) 5 to 6 hours. Stay overnight at lodge.
Day 06: Hike up Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) then to to Swata (2270m) 3 to 4 hours. It is our first night of Camping trek.

Day 07: Trek Ghorepani to Sewata (2245m) 3 to 4 hours
Day 08: Trek Sewata to Kobra Danda (4020m) 4 to 5 hours
Day 09: Trek Kobra Danda to Khayar Base Camp (4620m) 5 to 6 hours
Day 10: Explore day in Khyar Bace Camp (visit Kalibaraha holy Lake and Annapurna south glacier)
Day 11: Trek Khyar Bace Camp to Kobra Danda (4020m) 5 to 5 ½ hours
Day 12: Trek Kobra Danda to Chhistibung (3100m) 4 to 5 hour
Day 13: Trek Chhistibung to Dobato (3460m) 5 to 5 ½ hours
Day 14: Trek Dobato to Tadapani (2520m) 4 to 5 hours
Day 15: Trek Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m) 3 to 3 ½ hours
Day 16: Trek from Ghaundrung to Nayapull , Drive to Pokhara (950m) 1:45 hours
Day 17: Explore day around Pokhara Valley. Overnight at hotel
Day 18: Drive back to Kathmandu early in the morning by Tourist Bus 6 to 7 hours
Day 19: Farewell friend day in Kathmandu (1,350m)
Day 20: Drop you to the kathmandu international airport for your onward destination flights.

Suggested itinerary in details : 20 Days

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara (950m) - 6 to 7 hours by tourist bus
Our trekking guide will come to the hotel in the morning at 6: 00 to pick you with private transport to leave for Pokhara (200 km) and will take us about 6 to 7 hours scenic journey. Along the journey you will witness some stunning scenery of snow capped Mountains, green hills, rivers in rafting, and villages. Pokhara is a beautiful valley, with panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail), Dhaulagiri, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. The town of Pokhara is set on the banks of the Phewa Lake. It is smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu providing the perfect starting point for our trek. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Drive to Nayapull (1010m) then trek to Tikhedunga (1570meters) - 3 hours
The first day trek start at Nayapull after 1 and half hour driving by private vehicle from Pokhara. After 20 minutes short walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1015m) a large village that has many shops and teahouses inhabitance of Gurung, Magar and Thakali. Then, the trail continues following the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola through villages and climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille (1495m) and after the short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga (1570m). Today’s treks offers a short and comparatively easy day, during the journey allowing getting use to the experience of trekking in Nepal. Stay overnight at guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2840m) 5 to 6 hours
After breakfast, we begin our journey with a steep climb to large Magar village at Ulleri (2070m) after crossed bridge. Then the trail leads us continue to ascend more gently, through dense forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti (2250m). Occasionally, we can see Lonmgur (long tail black mouth Monkey) jumping on the tree. Then we trek towards Nangethanti (2460m), after an hour walk we arrive at Ghorepani (2840m). Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 06: Hike up Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) then to to Swata (2270m) 3 to 4 hours
We will hike about 45 munities to Poon Hill (3210m) earlyin the morning; this viewpoint provides an unobstructed beautiful sunrise over the high Himalayas with panoramic view giants Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Annapurna (8,091m), Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri, Hiuchuli, South Annapurna etc. along with a network of other peaks, slowly begin to appear like magic before our eyes .We come back to Ghorepani for a hot breakfast, and start walking to Sewata through the pine and rhododendron forests and Chitre Mager village. Overnight in tented camp. It is our first night of Camping trek.

Day 07: Trek Ghorepani to Sewata (2245m) 3 to 4 hours
Day 08: Trek Sewata to Kobra Danda (4020m) 4 to 5 hours
Day 09: Trek Kobra Danda to Khayar Base Camp (4620m) 5 to 6 hours
Day 10: Explore day in Khyar Bace Camp (visit Kalibaraha holy Lake and Annapurna south glacier)
Day 11: Trek Khyar Bace Camp to Kobra Danda (4020m) 5 to 5 ½ hours
Day 12: Trek Kobra Danda to Chhistibung (3100m) 4 to 5 hour
Day 13: Trek Chhistibung to Dobato (3460m) 5 to 5 ½ hours
Day 14: Trek Dobato to Tadapani (2520m) 4 to 5 hours
After breakfast, the trail descends through the alpine ridge, with breathtaking mountains panoramic vista to the Tadapani Hotel. Today we see many trekkers on main route, can get hot shower in our lodge. The trail climbs down gently along ridges with pine and rhododendron forests to the Deurali, then descent through main trekking route with the beautiful waterfall, stream, and dense forest to the Banthati. The stream has some clear pools alongside the trail and finally climb up to the final destination Tadapani, meaning ‘far water’ and the water supply for this village is a long distance below.

Day 15: Trek Tadapani to Ghandruk (1940m) 3 to 3 ½ hours
Today is easier day, so after late weak up breakfast we will descend steeply through dense forests with breathtaking panorama view to the Ghaundrung village, inhabitance of Gurung people. But if you weak up early in the morning, offers excellent sunrise with mountains changeable face from your Tadapani. We will overnight here so have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna conservation office, museum and picturesque ancient Guring village, the second largest Gurung settlement in Nepal.

Day 16: Trek from Ghaundrung to Nayapull , Drive to Pokhara (950m) 1:45 hours
Today is our last day of trekking; we complete our trek in Nayapull at elevation of 1010 meters, short and easy walking through the terraces hill settlement. Then drive 1 and half hour by private vehicle followed by a ride back to Pokhara, a peaceful lakeside city harboring a unique setting of tropical climate and vegetation with the dramatic backdrop of the Himalayas. Stay overnight at Pokhara Hotel.

Day 17: Explore day around Pokhara Valley
After late breakfast, we will start sight scene around Pokhara Valliy. The worth able places; Fewa Lake, Bagnes Lake, Devi’s water fall, Bisw Shanti Stupa (Worlde Peace stupa ), International Mountaineering Museum, Tibetan refugee settlement and Gupteshower cave. We will relax rest of the day in Hotel or Shopping around. Overnight at hotel

Day 18: Drive back to Kathmandu early in the morning by Tourist Bus 6 to 7 hours
We will be ready at 6:00 morning in hotel lobby with having your breakfast or advice as your trekking guide or you’re wise. We will drive back to Kathmandu through the road passing terraces, streams, rivers, local settlements, high hills and along the river side. It takes about 7 hours (conditional) to reach your hotel in Kathmandu. If you are interested to fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu with extra cost of fly ticket, It takes about 30 minutes with having spectacular Himalayas, high hills, terraces, local settlements, and forests ... view from the plane.

Day 19: Farewell friend day in Kathmandu (1,350m)
In this pleasant day you may have full day at leisure either relax at hotel or explore the around Thamel. Today is day of ending your journey, so we would like offer you farewell dinner in Nepali typical Restaurant and hand over you Trip Certificate, Trekking Permit and TIMS Card for memory of Nepal trip

Day 20: final Departure to your Destination
Today is free or last minute shopping for souvenirs or gift to your family, friends or relatives for you until departure flight/drive. Our assist will be transfer to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onwards destination, taking with you the memory of a life time.
