Mt.Pumori Expedition in Nepal (6,200 m)

 

The ascent starts at 5,300m. In a beautiful base camp aside a small lake (water source, take water filters or barrels -were you can pack your equipment- and to clarificate the water -let sand to drop all night-). From base camp you have the most wonderful sight of Mt. Everest you can imagine, just above is Kalapattar Rock hill at 5545m. After a 3 hrs walk (loaded) trough an easy hike terrain you will reach camp 1 or advanced base camp 5700m. To let your equipment and supply nearby. After this you will face a 500m. Elevation difference trough a 40 to 65 degrees slopes, 100m. Horizontal traverse, steep and expose to wind narrow ridges, some 5m. Ice wall, one tunnel climb. Pumori has many rock and mixed climb (not to need rock pitons but take some in case for the fixed rope) and spring might be more rock falling. If you have good Sherpa, Could be good for spring season.

Itinerary :

Day 01

Arrive Kathmandu airport . Then transfer to hotel. If you have time half day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley with our professional tour guide.

Day 02  

Full day sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur durdarsquare.

Day 03

Full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley.

Day 04

Preparation for the equipment in kathmandu. And necessaries documents.

Day 05

Kathmandu - Lukla - Phakding (Trek start).

Day 06

Phakding - Namche Bazaar

Day 07

Namche Bazaar ( short hike for acclimitize). visit to National park Museum.

Day 08

Namche Bazaar-Thyangboche

Day 09

Thyangboche- Dingaboche

Day 11

Dingaboche ( short hike for acclimitize)

Day 12

Dingaboche to Lobuche.

Day 13

Lobuje-Pumori Base Camp

Day 14

Climbing period (21 days)

Day 35

Base Camp-Phiriche

Day 36

Phiriche-Thyangboche

Day 37

Thyangboche-Khumjung

Khumjung-Syangboche- Monju

Monju to Lukla

Fly to kathamndu from Lukla. Transfer to hotel. half day sightseeing with our tour guide.

Kathmandu at leisure day. / Cushine day

Drop to the Airport for your onward destination.

 
Trip cost includes:
 
  • Accommodation at a standard hotel in Kathmandu on Bed and Breakfast basis.

  • Local transport in Kathmandu (Airport /hotel/ airport).
  • Helicopter rescue insurance operation only for Nepalese staff.

  • International airfares.
  • International Airport Departure tax.
  • Entry visa for Nepal (this can be obtained at the airport upon arrival).
  • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu.
  • High altitude food and fuel above BC and personal climbing gears.
  • Accident insurance and emergency evacuation.
  • Related charges for communication equipment, satellite phone, and walkie-talkie and filming. Nepal custom duty for import of expedition goods arriving into Nepal by air cargo.
  • Garbage deposit of US$ 4,000 (refundable after the expedition).
  • High altitude Sherpa, oxygen and mask and a regulator.
  • Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu above 6 days.
  • Personal travel, medical and rescue insurance
  • Related charges for communication equipment (satellite phone, walkie-talkie).
